North End

The North End is the traditional Italian neighborhood of Boston. The area, long separated from downtown Boston by the old elevated central artery is now seeing a wave of newcomers with the result that fewer “mom-and-pop” stores remain as gentrification is slowly overtaking this once tight-knit Italian community, however if you like Italian food there are many restaurants from which to choose - ranging from family-style to high-price menus.
